On Friday April 20, 2018 the Fremont Exchange Club announced Lauren Johnson of Vanguard Career & Technology Center as  the winner of the A.C.E. Award for 2018.  She was presented a plaque and a check for $500.00 that can be used for continuing her education. Lauren has been a student in our Medical Careers Academy for the last two years. Lauren also serves as an active member in our Skills USA student organization and as student ambassador for our school. In 2017, Lauren welcomed a baby boy into her family. In addition to the demands of being a single parent, Lauren has continued to persevere and achieve her personal and academic goals. Lauren's mother undergoing major medical surgery required Lauren to balance the additional care requirements for her mother and child. -She has managed all of these circumstances with a positive attitude and the utmost confidence.

Lauren is now entered into the nominee pool for Ohio/West Virginia A.C.E. award winner and if selected will receive an additional award and a check for  $1000.00 to use towards continuing her education. If selected for District ACE winner she will then be entered into the National competition for a chance at $10,000.

Congrats Lauren!
